Music Video: Forever by Walter Meego

waltermeegoOK, I am a sucker for a couple of things in this video. First, the use of water here is amazing. Water is so visceral and when used correctly, it can become a valuable medium for conveyance. Second, I love when music videos end up how this one does in the end. It appeals to me for an unknown reason, so you’ll have to accept the fact that I like it for now. Last, I really like when the artist is in the bedroom but cant be seen or heard by the main actor/actress. It is present throughout the majority of the video here and it is done without being so kitsch, as many videos are these days.
The song itself is on my pool playlist for its upbeat sounds and overall expression of the sounds of summer. Ironically, I fell for this song before I even saw that the music video had a huge pool party in it. So now it is synonymous in my head with the pool, but it is a welcomed addition to that already frenzied library of experience. It has a very catchy sound to it and, although I am normally not a fan of the more pop sounding music, I cannot deny myself the pleasure this song brings.
